Moon didn't notice the lift doors opening to admit John Angelis and Avinneyya into the travel room: he was too busy pressing his nose to the crackling blue barrier, oohing and aahing like a child, his obligations as an employee of and ambassador for the Zoo completely forgotten.

Angelis grinned in recognition, and walked over to Merian.

"Ah, there you are. We've been looking all over for you."

After a brief conference with Meirian, Angelis ducked out of the lift, and made his way back into the city.

He considered his options, and decided to press on with his exploration. Without a better option, he pulled a pen out of his pocket and flipped it in the air, intent on going whichever direction it pointed.
