"My turn, my turn!" cried Moon. He wasn't going to waste an opportunity like this on a silly question like Meirian had.
"This patchwork lots of strange strange places all stuck close together, yes? Then many must have curious and rare species animal in them. Moon's question is, where can he go to find good animals for bagging, tagging 'n' dragging back to Zoo?" |

Yarrow's eyes narrowed for an instant. She had no desire to encourage this zookeeper to rampage across the patchwork collecting cats, and she had every suspicion that he would attemptto do just that.
Then suddenly she beamed.
"Oooh, I know a place that'd suit you down to a T," she said. "It's called Kerya. Lots of lizard people there. Very fine high quality lizard people."
"Or there's the Mausoleum. 's like a Museum only Mauslier. They've got animals like you wouldn't believe. Animals that haven't even been invented anywhere else."
"And there's the Red Fort as well. There's a whole race of little hobbity fellers there, livin' in tunnels and chimbnys and such." |

Moon had whipped out a small notebook and recorded Yarrow's words in a rapid, illegible scrawl as she spoke.
"Many kindest thanks!" he said as his pen finally skidded to a halt near the bottom of the page. "When Moon return make report, suchlike intelligences give Trubshawe maximum delight for sure!" |

Avinneyya took a long sip of tea.
"Yarrow-Sama," he asked, "I hope not to be without tact in asking this, but if there are other gods here who, like you, would be kind enough to share knowledge with one such as myself, where might I be able to find them?" |

"Well you can find Gods kicking about all over the place," Yarrow said with a shrug. "No one seems to have the wit to actually call for them or pray for 'em or anything."
"But the Janitor roams about all the time. He was in San Pietro and the place with the map mopst recently. Oh, and the Chantry and Orkney and I think he's going to the map room again with Brainstorm. I do like his cat..."
She seemed to have reverted to her general maundering style of speech.
"Kao Sheng's in San Pietro too, and in Wu Whei. Arnora's in Wu Whei and Yggrdrasil."
"I s'pose Justice Paine's up in Bridges and Mustardseed's in Limn Knoll, but I ain't seen either of 'em in a while now."
She paused.
"I think I'm just here... Yeah, that seems reasonable. I'm pretty much here right now." |

Meirian executed a half-bow.
"Thank you, Yarrow-Sama. I will do as you say." She grinned again, unable to maintain solemnity for very long. "It's sure to be interesting, anyway!"
"Now.. is there anywhere in particular you'd like to go? Or anything you'd like to know?" she spread her arms out "I'm all yours". |

| "I thank you very much for answering my question, Yarrow-Sama," Avinneyya said quietly as he finished his tea. |

"I'd best be getting on my way," Yarrow said. "You know what they say, no rest for the... well, anyway."
She stood up and took hold of the handles of her trolly.
"Ta for the tea, I'm sure I'll see you all again. Don't get up, dearie. I'll see meself out."
With a spryness surpising in such an elderly person she whisked herself out of the room and waved a hand before closing the door firmly behind her.
Once outside she trundelled off away at some speed.

"Yarrow-Sama has told us much, and yet only a fraction of what there is to be known," Avinneyya said, "I believe I shall follow the signs and travel southward. Meirian, If you are going to travel to the Tree that Yarrow-Sama mentioned, might we contact each other afterwards? I am curious as to what you will discover about the worlds." He stared into his now-empty cup of tea for a moment, then continued.
"And Moon, were I in your place, I would try to acquire slightly more...tangible creatures than any birds you might encounter in the vicinity of a temple." |

"I beleive I shall set off now," Avinneyya said, getting up. He returned his teacup to Meirian and said his goodbyes, finally darting out the door and beginning to re-trace his steps.
