Dr Jewel watched the team make their way down to the basement for the second day running. Yesterday she had tried to make them see sense; but to no avail. Today she was going to have a look around and explore. Try and find someone who wasn't permanently tied to the place.

After a fruitless search of the Maypole Hill, she checked her compass and began a walk to the north. According to the map, there should be a larger village (almost a small town) just five miles away. However, after a mere mile she halted. There was mist up ahead. Mist that seemed to cover a frightening nothingness.

Not keen to step through, Dr Jewel began to follow the mist towards the West. Hoping that at some point it was disappear, or burn away with the morning sun.

However, just over a mile later, she found that the mist had corners - as though some mad God had made a square around Maypole Hill. However, this second wall looked less empty. Perhaps she would find something on the other side...
