Into the featureless grey streets stepped a young blue-skinned, regal-faced figure in a silver-blue tunic and knickerbockers, looking about himself.

"My word! That sky!" gasped Jack Frost, momentarily forgetting the reason he had come here.

Then his mind returned to more present matters. Frost began to hurry through the streets, looking for anybody who might prove to be useful.

The streets seemed to be deserted. As he fled between the tall buildings, he noticed the light in the sky fading; maybe people went to bed early around here.
