[OOC Pixel enters from the Territory to the east]
In an alley behind one of the restaurants one of the kitchen hands was looking around nervously. If he was caught out here sneaking off for a ciggy he'd sure be in trouble. He looking behind him and then down the alley, no one in sight and lit up. As he drew a badly needed first lungful of smoke he turned back just in time to see a Ginger cat walk straight out of the alley wall in front of him.
Unsurprisingly he started choking. Pixel looked at him, twitched his whiskers briefly and trotted down the alley. |

In Empire City, nobody pays much attention to an alley cat.
Hence, there was no interruption when Pixel came upon a scene in the alley.
A large, threatening man was robbing a woman at knifepoint. The woman was clutching her bag to her chest in panic, as the man attempted to drag it from her hands. It was all too clear that the man would soon use the knife to get his way.
Pixel wondered what a cat should or could do in this situation.
He needn't have worried. A black discus whizzed through the air. It caromed off a wall, and struck the knife from the robber's hand. It bounced off two more walls and was caught by someone behind Pixel. Pixel hadn't heard the man. That wasn't easy to do.
The robber stared wide eyed up behind Pixel. Pixel looked too. On the roof crouched a man in a closely fitting black uniform. His face was masked in black silk, striped orange along the cheeks.
The robber turned and ran.
"NO-ONE ESCAPES THE FURY!" intoned the man in black, and made an acrobatic leap after him. Catching on a fire escape, The Fury flipped in the air and landed, catlike, blocking the fleeing criminal's exit.
Pixel was forced to concede that the jump was pretty good, especially for a human.
The robber, unwisely, decided to make a fight of it. The Fury blocked the robber's blows with a pair of the discus, which he wore on his wrists like small shields. A moment or two of this blocking, lead to an opening, and the Fury incapacitated the man with a right cross, and finished him with an uppercut.
The Fury returned to the frightened woman.
"These alleys aren't a safe shortcut at this time of night. Allow me to accompany you to somewhere safer."
The two left the alley, leaving Pixel to wonder at the unusual place he had discovered. |

There were humans in this place with ususual abilities, it made Pixel wonder about the cats. It wasn't often is his experience that human reached this level and when they did...
Pixel wandered down the alley a bit further, somehow he doubted he was in the same kind of danger. While wandered along his tail twitched slightly and his whiskers stuck out on full alert, no chances taken.
A little while later Pixel saw the first sign of a feline presence, a tortoise shell cat sitting behind a trash can ahead. At least there had been fewer startled humans on this route. |

| The tortoise shell hissed at Pixel. It was gnawing on some tasty fish heads, and clearly wasn't about to share. The cat looked like a tough alley cat, covered in scars, and ready to fight for its supper. |

Pixel considered the tortiose shell. There were very likely many cats present if food was this readily available. Even if it wasn't the best quality.
Pixel trotted forwards and indicated his willingness to talk and then remove himself from this territory with a couple of flicks of his ears and a general raising of his tail. The other cat didn't respond in an entirely friendly fashion, her claws were still unsheathed for a start, but she did refrain from an immediate action.
Sitting down Pixel began his story. A little while later the tortoise shell sat down as well and sheathed her claws. She did keep one paw firmly near the fish heads though.
After a little while Pixel stood up again and carefully walked straight through the side alley wall heading West. |
