Ducking out of the melee Jones staggered back and croached down behind a piece of broken fencing. The combat wasn't going well and he tore his mind away from his worry for his family members caught in the fall of night. His children could handle themselves in a fight but this was no normal dungeon crawl.

Rummaging through the leather satchel he wore on his back he searched for something able to help, fingers feeling and identifying amulets, scrolls and wands. Nothings seemed to fit the bill but improvisation was the name of the game. He'd have to take a chance and see what happened.

Tucking a Kadabra scroll and a Rowan wand into his belt he prepared to re-enter the combat... but which one. From the shouts and cries coming from all directions it was clear there was more than one monster menacing his home.

Picking a direction Jones strode forward.

The monsters might be the immediate problem but something somewhere was causing them to appear. Whatever it was he intended to find it and stop it.

Axe ready for action the burly inkeeper began to make his way north.
