[OOC: continued from Glade]
From the mists in the west stepped a man in sturdy grey clothes, leading another oriental looking man who was looking somewhat dazed. |

Daltrey emitted a low moan as he took stock of his surroundings.
"From one benighted wilderness to another! What is this place, Weekday? Are we doomed to wander the earth like orphans, far from civilisation forever?"
He squeezed the Janitor's hand for reassurance. |

It was not long, however, before Daltrey's finely honed assistant zookeeper instincts kicked in and he was looking around himself thoughtfully.
Foraging around in his goatskins he pulled out his notebook, much battered by the elements but still serviceable. Turning over a new leaf, he began to add his observations to those he had made during his stay in Glade.
Cool, wet broadleaf forest... rich biodiversity... abundant epiphytes... insects, frogs and birds...

The man in grey turned to Daltrey once more.
"Once you have finished your observations, I suggest you follow me to the north, where we should find your zoo." |

The Janitor's words snapped Daltrey out of his reverie at once.
"The zoo? I... I had almost given up hope. But nothing would please me more than to see it again."
A look of puzzlement crossed his face. "You say it lies... to the north of here? The north?"
None of it made any sense, just as nothing had made any sense since the mists had crowded in around the Zoo that morning. Probably best just to let his new friend take him where he wanted, and worry about the details later... |

The man in grey lead the zookeeper to the north and back to more familiar territory.
