"Well I'm certainly intrigued... One moment please."

Magpie turned his attention, if not his face to their erstwhile hosts.

"May I give the thanks fo my crew and myself for your hospitality. And I hope we'll meet again and talk some more. But just a quick word of warning - don't go heading down the way we came - there's some private things that way, and they're not for sharing."

His voice was a little threatening, but not overly so - it was the crew's muttered agreements and the noises of hands checking weapons that really got it across.

"Now then, our new found guide - lead on... And do leave the light burning if it's no trouble"

"Er, right. Hang on a second."

There was a sound of some mechanical fumbling. After a short while the glow again appeared, this time without the flicker. It did little to illuminate the surroundings, but was enough to follow.

"This might be a bit of a complicated route."

The man lead the group along a route that wasn't exactly back the way they had come, but had similarities. After travelling some distance, the light stopped. There was the sound of a mechanism working, and then the group was bathed in light as the man opened a door.

When their eyes had recovered from this abuse, the pirates could see that beyond the door was a room of unfamiliar construction.
