[OOC: Continued from Seventh Sea]
As Von Damme entered the patch, he immediately tried, and succeeded in gaining some altitude. He stopped the balloon, went to the observation platform, and surveyed the land before him.
Obviously, it was a military base of some sort. It looked as if it was from an earlier era. Soldiers could be seen going about drills, clad in red armour. Von Damme decided that a survey from a great height was the best idea, and took the balloon up. Against the sky, the zeppelin was a shining point. Von Damme swept slowly across the patch, taking photographs with a telephoto lens.
As the zeppelin reached the other side, Von Damme made to go through, only to find that the balloon would not traverse the wall. There had been no collision, just an abrupt loss of momentum. He considered this as he looked at his makeshift map. Was this the edge of the universe?
Considering the map, he noted that there were at least two patches north that he had not visited. He made his way north, to the patch edge.
[OOC: The zeppelin now proceeds north to Orkney] |
