Dr Sallaya Abydos

Former citizen of the real, original land of the free. She's a practical physicist, with a PHD in that same subject. Dr Abydos is a rather down-to-earth realistic person, and so finding herself torn away from her home and in a completely separate universe has left her rather disconcerted; a condition that's only likely to have grown in the time she has been in the patchwork.

Despite her growing 'anxieties' about her present situation, Sallaya is an outgoing, explorative woman of around 27; pretty tall and with the kind of hair that makes wannabe-models mutter about wasted genes. She always remains true to her profession, considering her position in the patchwork as a form of involuntary field study, and so keeps herself naturally attired in a white laboratory coat, although from there onwards she's pretty lax about her dress code. Never having made much money from her profession before her arrival, the Doctor is relatively poorly-equipped, with second rate laboratory gear and a cupboard full of old laptop computers and outdated data sensors, no doubt sourced from business resale and local private advertisements before she arrived.
