Karl Groever

Karl Groever first appeared in the patchwork during the Age of Heroes and became a close friend and agent of Dr Brainstorm. He joined the Ring of Eight and took part in the War Against Heaven. However, he alone of the group did not vanish after the war. Instead, his patch of the City in the Sands became subject to strange disjunctions and discontinuities of time. Karl Groever himself reappeared during the Age of Reason as a young man, the same age he had been on his original arrival, with no memories of the previous events. However, he was fortunate enough to encounter Brainstorm again and resumed his association with him.

Physical Description

His somewhat skinny frame is generally hidden beneath a tight, grey pinstripe suit. His blue eyes stare inquiringly outward from behind the wire frames of his moon-round spectacles. A buzz cut hairstyle complements the otherwise undistinguished look.

"Remember storming Heaven?!!" Karl laughed, somewhat unconvincingly, at the drachen's suggestion. "No, not at all. I'm certain I would have remembered storming Heaven if I'd ever done such a thing. It must be my mysterious doppelganger whom the good doctor is thinking of.
