Nobles

The dominant species of the Spire patch. Appearing almost human, the nobles are the only creature to have thus far evolved sentience on their world. They have also evolved the ability to read the essence from things consumed, and consider aspects for inclusion in their offspring. The current generation cannot speak any language but their own efficient combination of scent, sound and body language. For some reason, most nobles appear to lack individual names.
