Whack-A-Mole
From PatchworkWiki
A combination of forum game and process for notifying GMs of Spam user sign-ups, Whack-a-mole was officially retired on the forums on the 2nd December, 2006. As registration on the forums had been disabled it was no longer possible for people to create logins through the website, and thus no 'moles' were appearing.
Original Rules
Sometimes fake users sign up to the forums. Any signup not cleared with the GM team will be deleted in short order. To help the GMs spot spambot signups players took to posting notes about this in the troubleshooting forum, and this has now evolved into Whack-a-mole.
The rules are simple. If you spot a fake signup, comment in the whack-a-mole thread in troubleshooting with the witty comment of your choice. A GM will then whack that mole back into its hole. If points were awarded (which they are not) players would gain points for spotting moles, witty remarks and generally taking part. GMs would get points for number of moles whacked, whacking style etc etc.
Patchwork, it can be a very silly place.
